Sr. Associate, Investment Operations P2

Manage processing of trade activity for all portfolios under strict deadlines. Reconcile portfolio assets between custodian banks and the trade order management system.  Manage multiple SharePoint sites shared by multiple interested stakeholders.

Purpose and Mission
• Comply with the policies and procedures of RE Investment Corporation, RE Advisers Corporation (“REA”), and Homestead Funds Manual, which include but are not limited to the rules and regulations under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and USA Patriot Act of 2001.  Fulfills all annual regulatory and firm education requirements. Follow all FINRA and SEC regulatory changes as it occurs
• Monitor trade activity under strict time deadlines for settlement of all  trades for all portfolios managed by RE Advisers.  Verifiy payments and delivery instructions with State Street Bank and First Union Bank.  Act as a liaison for the trade order management system and brokerage firms, Depository Trust Company, and custodian banks to settle trades, resolving trade issues, thus ensuring settlement.
• Ensure reconciliation between the Investment Book of Records within the trade order management system and the custodian banks.
• Provide brokerage firms with new account instructions for all in-house managed portfolios.
• Evaluate and compile daily reports, cash sheets, and Net Asset Value information.
• Process checks as received from class actions, logs the documentation to the Class Action Log, and forwards the check to Finance for deposit.
• Produce and research for correctness the Fixed-Income BBB report for Compliance and upload it to the dashboard On a monthly basis,.
• Ensure all REA correspondences with REA clients are uploaded to the REA Correspondence SharePoint site, and maintain the site for quarterly audit by the Senior Director, Compliance Securities.  
• Complete equity commissions report for the Equity Portfolio Managers and analyze the data for correctness
• Compile the Daily Cap Stock Report for the Distribution team on a daily basis.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in investment/banking operations work environment
• Working knowledge of Charles River Development Trade Order management System and Bloomberg E-Vestment system preferred
• Experience with mutual fund, investment management and investment analytics
• Ability to organize and manage time, multi-task, operate under pressure and prioritize work using effective organization skills.
• Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse audience and employees in a clear and precise manner as demonstrated by prior work experience.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point) in the day-to-day essential duties of the job as demonstrated by prior work experience.
