Benefit Design & Delivery - Intern

• Must be a rising junior or senior
• 3.0 or above GPA required
• Must be available to work May 14th through August 3rd
• Wage: $18.50 per hour

Provides intern with an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience working in benefit design and delivery and to gain an understanding of how an employee benefits program works.  The purpose of this position is to support the various benefit initiatives such as wellness, health promotion and disease management and voluntary benefits. The intern will assist with research and analysis, program administration and development, and other duties as assigned.

Purpose and Mission

The position will provide individual with exposure and experience in employer sponsored health care and benefits. It will provide opportunities for involvement in the development and management of worksite programs benefits and new program research and support.

Assist the PDM Team with:
• INTERACT conference planning and support
• Product material development/review/update
• Research (e.g.  engagement incentive-based medical plan design)
• Support metrics collection and analysis
• Assist with management of co-op activity based incentive program (Fitbit discount program)
• Assist with wellness challenge administration and planning for 2018
• Assist with evaluation of condition management programs – i.e. diabetes program
• Assist with research for healthcare navigation project
• Develop and write articles for quarterly health newsletter
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• Preferred Degree Program: Human Resources, Health Promotion; Nursing; Business; Management; Health Care Administration;
• Track record of academic achievement
• Ability to be very detail oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once
• Excellent communication skills
