Communications & Data Analytics - Intern

• Must be a rising junior or senior
• 3.0 or above GPA required
• Must be available to work May 14th through August 3rd
• Wage: $18.50 per hour

Support marketing and member relations areas of Touchstone Energy Cooperatives with internal communication and data/analytic efforts. Gain an understanding of the Cooperative Difference and role co-ops play in service, electrification, economic development, community support, etc.

Purpose and Mission
• Write articles for online newsletters, email, websites, etc., especially those related to standard, seasonal Touchstone Energy events like  #WhoPowersYou national social media contest, #ImConnected marketing promotion, Board of Director election, LinkedIn postings
• Work with creative team to prepare Fall education postcard to strategically involve membership in offerings to increase retention
• Update current presentations for recruiting and education and related printed materials
• Manage, report out on and archive data for communications and program information
• Review current value proposition touch point and update related collateral
• Further develop interview and writing skills and gain practical experience in editorial calendars/database management/version control/reporting.
• Enhance digital skills as related to creating content for email blasts, websites and social media.
• Complete print collateral like postcards and flyers.
• Learn how to manage projects start to finish.
• Increase familiarity with sales process and take fresh look at current approach.
• Gain a broad understanding of teamwork at a national brand.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Preferred Degree Program: Marketing, Advertising, Communications
• Background in Marketing, Advertising and/or Communications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience interviewing, copywriting and proofreading
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
• Creative yet organized with a member service attitude
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a bonus, but not required
